For the price of this bike, you won't find a pre-built, or even likely be able to build another bike that has a lot of these parts.
For an all chromoly bike, the price is absolutely great. The only thing you would want to do immediately is replace the stock seat. Other than that, I think it's awesome. I've heard that the free-coaster they use in this bike is pretty easily broken, but this whole bike costs less than many frames alone...
The only other thing that I can think of was when I assembled mine, there was nothing to keep the front break cable from rubbing on the tire where it loops from the bottom of the head-tube up to the front brake-mount. I solved this easily with a piece of nylon twine, however a zip-tie would be easier and probably work better. Great beginner bike. its true...the whole thing about the most bang for your buck when it comes to buying a entry level complete flatland bike.this bike is awesome for the price. its hard to find flatland bikes complete at a good price anyway but when you pile on things such as 3 pcs cranks and all brand name componets on a flatland bike under $400 then its a deal!!!! my only bad review on this bike is the seat. BUY A NEW SEAT WHEN YOU ORDER THIS BIKE!!! its a hard abs type plastic with no padding at all. very very uncomfortable. this is a pivital style seat so keep that in mind when ordering your new one. other wise this bike is about as good as you get.DK Opsis review by BmxFlatland.Net By User
When I (re-)started riding flatland in 2008, the consensus best entry-level flatland bike at the time was the DK Signal. Since that time, DK has renamed the bike the Opsis, and they've made so many changes and improvements to it over the years that it really does warrant the different name (as well as the bump in price from about $290 for the Signal to about $370 for the Opsis). Since the Opsis is the clear descendant of the Signal that I had, my view of the Opsis is naturally in comparison to its predecessor that I rode for two years before switching it out for a Suelo last year.
The Signal was already considered a great deal for beginning riders with the features it had at the time: chromoly main frame, chromoly fork with tapered legs, front and rear brakes with gyro, two pairs of pegs, and even a Taska unsealed freecoaster. (For all the bad things that people say about the Taska, I actually thought it worked okay, until the threaded 12-tooth cog eventually cracked and I upgraded to a Nankai.)
